As you can see, some changes. Pretty soon, the wallpaper will be random pics from my photography sets (or at least thats what i’m planning, if & when i get that Nikon D80 or D90) Umm, lets see, i installed sIFR 3. Looked around for a good Wordpress plugin to make things easier but couldnt find none that worked correctly. One worked in the Wordpress Admin Panel but not on the live site (WTF?) anyways, i finally decided to just install the real thing and i got it working. I intended on using it for every header on the site, but found it not necessary, so its just on the h1 and h2 tags. Expect some other changes as the week goes by.

Movable Type 4 (Open Source)

While most of you just started in the world of blogging, most that have been here for a while probably used Movable Type when they first started. Writing in perl, it was a big blogging cms back then. It allowed you to run and admin more than 1 blog, unlike Wordpress and some other cool features. Wordpress was the PHP version of it to me back in the days. I remember sticking with Movable Type for a year or 2 later even after everyone started switching to Wordpress because they limited the features on the free version and went commerical (to say.) Well, i just learnt today that Movable Type 4 is out and now Open Source. How cool is that!!! Anyways, i went over to the site and checked out some pages/screenshots. Maybe one day…

WebCT to be iCollege

So.. my school uses WebCT. Probably heard of it and possibility is that your school also use it. Its an educational software owned by Blackboard (I think Blackboard bought them or something). Anyways, since i’ve been at GPC its always been called WebCT, well, they had a change of mind on what to name it and here is what they thought of:

This has me wondering why everyone is going craze over the “i” naming? Ever since Apple started it with their iPod line? They renamed the main registration from whatever it was called also before to SIS (Student Information Services) so i guess OIT is trying to catch up to web 2.0?

Got my new Denon HS5500 today, and i gotta say wow.

The only con is that this expensive piece of equipment does not come with the internal hard drive . Supposingly, it has 2 options coming by June. A HD Internal or a CD Internal. There is really no difference in features to my HD2500. It has all the same features plus a little more things like Dual Deck, 2 Decks in 1, tell your damn Pioneers to beat that, Mirror Mix, and did i mention the fact that i am effn CDless?? You cant top my feeling. Watching yall DJs struggle with your CD bags and boxes! Iite, iite, no joke… Its the shiznizz!

Got some new graphics added to the gfx section, some new web design should be added soon from what i’ve last done before my break from web design…

ROCKONDUDE.NET is now online and kicking and thanks to the power of programming everything from news and event posting is done easily. Thumbnails created automatically themselves (after fighting with the way width=”blah” shrinking looks like) and lightbox/2 effects is in use on both side of the site.

Thinking of releasing an update to the Uniform Server during Thanksgiving Break if i get the time to, so be expecting 3.5.1 with fixes, patches and updates.
