Poking Around

August 25th, 2005 | Uniform Server

While poking into the statistics for our site, i found this article. It is a nice tutorial on how to install Ruby On Rails + Uniform Server + Tracks. The author also made a crystal clear video tutorial on it :D How cool is that…

It also seems that Apache Friends now find us a worthy opponent. We are coming out and hitting everyone out of the game. :) They added us to their other partner (Our Competitor) page.

There is also an intresting article on WikiMedia’s Meta-Wiki. It’s a tutorial about how to install MediaWiki on Uniform Server. I’m Loving It :D Read it here.

PHP Developer also found the post I made to the Atlanta PHP Forum. They added us to their news… Check it out. Don’t you like the quote?

These site are being powered by Uniform Server:

The list of sites is too long for me to go through all of them so i think thats enough for the day :D

Interesting to see that uniform seemed to be the only one without any negative comments on the apache friends list – i must agree that its my experience – i used foxserv (great but no longer maintained) previously.
I installed pmwiki incredibly easily on my installation of Uniform Server and its great…now the only question is – whens the next version coming out :-)

happy to ehar about listing in XAMPP maker’s site about our uniformserver :)

some of our guys use xampp for testing their coding, and I am happy to hear they come forward to a healthy competition, let us work on, to present a more effective testing grounds for different scripting languages in the name of our uniformserver:)

We always have an advantage in our root, i.e. no Registry dust & installation/uninstallation problems……
